Silence – Magical Morning Routine Part One

January’s morning routine focus is silence. This is part one of a six month exploration of adding some magic to my Miracle Morning routine!

Silence quote

What is Silence?

This part of the morning routine is exactly what it sounds like, spending time in silence. This might not be literal silence, the important thing is that you use it to quiet your mind and find some peace.

What are the Benefits?

Do you ever wake up in the morning with thoughts already running through your brain? Or maybe you’re like me and deal with anxiety and sometimes your brain just feels like a beehive.

This is the part of a morning routine that can help with that.

Spending part of your morning in silence helps you learn how to calm your mind, a very valuable skill to have. Starting your day like this can reduce stress and leaves you better prepared to deal with stress when it does come up

Mundane options

These are some common options for how to spend time in silence that “normal” people like to do:

  • meditation
  • prayer
  • showering (especially cold showers)
  • just sitting in silence
  • breathing

A lot of these options can (and do) have magic related ways to use them!

Magical Options

These are the methods I’m going to be experimenting with this month to see what works for me!

  • chakra balancing meditation
  • prayer to the Universe
  • energy work
  • observe nature
  • divination

My go to use of this time right now is to just sit and meditate and focus on my breath. This is one of my favorite parts of my day but I’m ready to switch it up a little bit. With that being said, most of these will likely be in addition to my usual meditation rather than replacing it.

I’m excited to get into this exploration! What would you add to the magical silence options list?

I was so excited to switch up my morning routine and try new things, but it was hard! I found myself usually doing the other options in addition to my usual meditation instead of replacing it.

Even if I did a chakra balancing meditation I still did my regular meditation before it.

The only thing that I didn’t always pair with meditation was observing nature. My altar space is in a corner with two windows that give me a view to the tree tops. There were a few days that I didn’t feel up for my usual meditation but watching the trees was an incredible substitute.
